The first room listed in the init_data file should have a status of FIXED.

The room marked as being the jail should have its status set to FIXED.

Values for TIMEOUT values should be even multiples of the value of
ALARM_TIMEOUT.

Symbolic links can be used to create an area whose message board can be
written on one port and read on another.
