Notes regarding files in docs directory Last updated: Feb. 17, 1999 You should have the following document files: README.txt - The file you are currently reading AdminGuide.txt - Useful hints for the budding administrator Authors.txt - Who created all of this? CodeConfig.txt - Describes the configuration options which can be chosen at compile time EnhancedLayout.txt - How to improve on the standard file layout and retain complete compatability FileLayout.txt - What all the files the talker users are and where to find them Guidelines.txt - General comments and guidelines you may find useful when setting up a talker InitData.txt - Description of the format initialization data files UserdataFile.txt - Description of the format of the user data files Most of these document files were originally created by the user known as Birddog on both the Lintilla Multiple Worlds talkers and on Fantasia's Worlds talkers. I have added the CodeConfig.txt and Guidelines.txt file and have started to update the other files based to reflect the status of my current version of NUTS. When in doubt, the source code is gospel.

NOTE: Due to changes in my 2.17 revision of the nuts230.c file, my init_data files are no longer compatible with those of Birddog. To convert his init_data files to the new format, simply flip the state of the fixed room flag at the end of the room lines. Kevin (aka Casey on Lintilla Multiple Worlds and on Fantasia's Worlds).
